"Greater Rising Star Community Development Greater Rising Star Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star is a non-profit organization where women and men with high moral and social character, can contribute much time, energy and wisdom to our Order and community with Charity, Truth and Loving-kindness for the good of all mankind throughout the world. The Order of the Eastern Star provides support to members of the Grand Chapter Youth Circle (ages 11 through 18), and Gleaners (ages 13 through 18). The purpose of these youth groups is to train these fine young citizens to be leaders in the community and to be future members and leaders in the Order of the Eastern Star and Masons. This is done through involvement in community service activities, the creation of leadership opportunities within the group as well as fellow shipping in a safe and supervised family-type environment. The Order of Eastern Star has participated in the Community Day Sale at Parisian Laurel Park Place in Livonia, Michigan for the past five (5) years. This community day fundraiser is used to provide educational scholarships for our youth. We look forward the community day sale every year in Fall and Spring for this has truly changed the lives of our youth that had received our scholarships."Greater Rising Star Community Development Greater Rising Star Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star
